Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim played a crucial role in Bangladesh’s dominant 2-0 Test series victory over Pakistan during the ICC World Test Championship cycle.

The experienced right-hander scored 253 runs in two Test matches at an impressive average of 63.25. After contributing a valuable 71 in the opening Test, Mushfiqur produced a match-defining 137 in the second innings of the Sylhet Test, helping Bangladesh secure another memorable series sweep against Pakistan. His outstanding performances earned him the Player of the Series award.

Taijul Islam Leads Bangladesh Bowling Attack

Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam also earned a nomination following a remarkable series against Pakistan.

The left-arm spinner finished as the leading wicket-taker in the two-match Test series, claiming 13 wickets at an average of 19.61. His standout performance came in the second Test in Sylhet, where he bowled a marathon spell and picked up six wickets in Pakistan’s second innings.

In addition to his bowling heroics, Taijul contributed valuable runs lower down the order, scoring 58 runs throughout the series and helping Bangladesh complete a historic clean sweep.

Dipendra Singh Airee Impresses with Bat and Ball

Nepal’s star all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee completes the shortlist after a sensational month in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 competition.

Airee scored 249 runs in six One-Day Internationals at an average of 49.80 and a strike rate exceeding 110. He registered a century against the United Arab Emirates and added two half-centuries to his tally.

With the ball, the all-rounder claimed eight wickets at an average of 19.12, including a brilliant spell of 4/24 against the United States, further highlighting his value as one of Nepal’s most influential match-winners.
